Know Sonia Parchure
Sonia Parchure is an Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) recognized Performing Artist and one of the panelists. She began her journey as a dancer at the age of 6 yrs under the guidance of Mrs. Punam Murdeshwar. For 15 yrs thereafter she received rigorous training and mastered the intricacies of kathak from Guruvarya Dr. Manjiri Deo, a disciple of renowned Kathak exponent Padmashree Gopi Krishna. She is Nritya Visharad in first class and Nritya Alankar also in first class from Akhil Bharatiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya. Presently she is undergoing training in “Layakari” from Padmashree Pt. Suresh Talwalkar.
About Institution
We at Sharayu Nritya Kalamandir take pride in teaching Kathak in its purest forms for more than 2 decades now. Each branch of ours is headed by professional Kathak dancers trained by Sonia Parchure herself. Not only are these trainers talented but are also taught to tackle all students from the age of 5 sensitively and respectfully. All branches get to learn from Mrs. Sonia herself at least once a week may it be online or offline.
